M.J. Design & Hefty®: A Shared Commitment to Sustainability with the Hefty® Renew Program™

Just like Hefty®, M.J. Design takes immense pride in our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The Hefty® Renew Program™ aims to give hard-to-recycle plastics a second life, helping keep them out of landfills and turning them into valuable resources. This initiative goes beyond traditional recycling by addressing plastics that often get overlooked—plastics with higher potential for repurposing into new, useful products.

Why Hefty® Renew Matters

The Hefty® Renew Program™ plays a crucial role in the circular economy, recycling and repurposing plastics that would otherwise be discarded. These plastics are collected, processed, and transformed into valuable materials, keeping them out of landfills. Through this program, we continue our shared mission to improve sustainability efforts and make a tangible difference for future generations.

By participating in the Hefty® Renew Program™, we’re not only helping reduce the volume of waste, but also supporting the responsible reuse of materials. Together, we can ReThink ReCycling with ReNew™ and make a lasting impact on the environment.

A Simple Way to Make a Positive Impact

The Hefty® Renew Program™ simplifies the process of keeping hard-to-recycle plastics out of landfills! Here’s how it works:

  1. Purchase the Orange Hefty® Renew Bags at your local store.

  2. Collect program-acceptable plastics like chip bags, cereal liners, foam cups, take-out boxes, straws, plastic utensils, and more. (For a full list, visit Hefty® Renew Program)

  3. Tie up the orange bag and place it in your regular recycling bin.

  4. Your local recycling service will send the bag to Hefty®, where the materials will be repurposed into valuable products instead of going to a landfill.

Why Is It Important?

Traditional recycling doesn’t always address all plastics, but the Hefty® Renew Program™ fills that gap. It helps divert waste that would typically be left behind, ensuring it is properly recycled and reused. By supporting this initiative, we’re not just reducing waste—we’re contributing to a cleaner planet and supporting a circular economy.
