Rain, Rain...Go Away! (Seriously.)
Most areas around Columbus are already saturated. More than another inch of rain this season will be too much! During the weekend of Sept 8, we received 4 inches of rain at the shop. . . in just two days. Yikes!
With this much moisture in the ground, beautiful lush green yards can be affected by disease in just a matter of days. Unless you have new plantings, or are trying to be added as the 19th hole at Jack’s place, we suggest that you TURN OFF your irrigation for the year. With shorter days and cooler temperatures, your grass is starting to go dormant. Getting too much water this late in the year will not be a good start for the winter.
